It's Time

Much has happened since the last time I blogged.
I took on some new responsibilities at work which ended up dominating my life from April until. . .well, they're still dominating it. I was finally offered those new responsibilities as an official job, and accepted the position, although they still haven't filled my old position so I'm still doing both. I finally started playing with flank steak, and fell in love. I got a smoker, and BBQ was made. I brewed a much better chile beer, a pasilla chile porter, and I loaded it into my 4 mini-kegs and drove it all the way to a chile farm South of Indianapolis to engage in chilehead insanity with a bunch of other crazy folks. Also made some pork tacos while I was there. Too much to try and recount it all, but it's time to get this here blog back on track. And we're going to start with chili. Not the slacker method, this one is going to be awfully complicated. It will require numerous steps, and it will hopefully take several days to complete it all, but the results will be worthwhile and they will be documented. I finally got a digital camera, folks, so we'll start having some visual aids around here too. Well, getting back to work for now, but here's your's truly hard at work on some pork tacos. Chili starts soon. . .
